How do the Westcott Flexigels work?
Flexigels make use of creative gels very straightforward: just slide them on top of glass coverings and feel fairly sturdy. As shown below, these innovative creative gels produce plenty of great color – just what one would expect from any creative gel. However, keep in mind that these are NOT corrective gels but simply for adding fun & creative colors to your lighting setup. It is worth keeping this item in your kit since its use makes movement faster in the field without needing tape, rubber bands, or special gel holders; just pop one on and go!
Will the Westcott Flexigels melt?
No. After our shoot, the gels were warm; however, according to Westcott’s site they are made of heat-resistant silicone rubber material and shouldn’t pose any danger as your flash tube heats up and you fire multiple flashes at them.
